How to Remove Vinyl Wrap: A Simple Guide

STEP 1

Find a clean, flat surface where you can work comfortably

STEP 2

Clean the surface of which the vinyl will be removed from to avoid any damage.

STEP 3

Starting at one corner of the wrap use your heat gun to warm the material in a back-and-forth motion which will loosen the adhesion.

STEP 4

Access your plastics utility knife and carefully get a corner of the vinyl started.

STEP 5

Slow begin peeling the vinyl at a 45 degree angle, keeping hands close to the surface. Make sure to heat periodically keep the material warm as you move along the surface.

STEP 6

When wrapped is removed there may be adhesive left on the surface. Use a microfiber towel and 70% isopropyl alcohol to breakdown the adhesive. (If adhesive will not budge, opt for Automotive Goo & Sticker Remover)
